‘StoryCorps’
"StoryCorps" was at the Beatley Central Library in May conducting interview sessions with generations of Alexandrians. The conversations were part of a month-long celebration of community reading through the "All Alexandria Reads" program, which features "Listening is an Act of Love: A Celebration of American Life from the StoryCorps Project." Senior Services of Alexandria helped select those interviewed who will have their stories preserved at the Library of Congress and may be featured on an upcoming "Story Corps" program on National Public Radio. Above is Charlotte Clinger, a senior at T.C. Williams High school, and her grandfather, William Clinger, former U.S. representative from Pennsylvania and Alexandria resident.
