A display of popular dog toys at Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming features stuffed toys such as the Dr. Popper soda can, The Pup Tart, the Mr. Goodboy yellow candy bar. A wall of stuffed animals offers almost any choice — panda, bright pink flamingo, varieties of fish, tall spotted giraffes and gray koala bears.
Joey McGeary, who works at Unleashed by Petco at 5400 Langston Blvd. A. says the most popular cat treats out of a whole aisle of choices is the Churu which is a liquid. He says in the summer some people freeze the tube of Churu and make popsicles for their cats.
Petco offers a variety of catnip choices that can be put in a toy or put on cat scratchers. Joey McGeary says it encourages cats to scratch on scratchers, not people. “The cats go crazy, and it helps them get out their angst.”
The finch feeder at Wild Birds Unlimited would fit easily in a stocking and could be filled with niger thistle later and hung in the backyard. The store has been located in the Harrison Shopping Mall for almost 35 years.
