"Powdered sugar?" Helene Gallent, dressed in the traditional Austrian dress of her country, serves a piece of apple strudel, the most popular choice at Little Austria. Gallent started her small business at the Marymount Farmer's Market in May this year. Her offerings also include plum, cherry-apple, pear-walnut and for today's Oktoberfest a special cheese Carinthian Topfenstrudel, common in Austria.

Keyla Lafebre, disguised as a pussy cat, helps customers at the traditional empanada and sweet taste of Ecuador ice cream stand at Oktoberfest held at the Marymount Farmer's Market. Lafebre had visited the face painting table just inside the market. The all-natural ice cream with exotic flavors like corn, pumpkin and cacao with barley originated in Ecuador and is now available in the U.S.
